Plinth packs added / 2 Stretch Goals added
about 4 years ago – Thu, Apr 02, 2020 at 12:32:09 PM

Morning guys hope all are well,

I have added plinth packs as an add-on to give a bit of a price break for those wishing to get multipules, it's not massive but hope it helps a little.

I have also now added 2 stretch goals, one at £18,000 which will give every copy of the Story Teller a free display plinth in the size appropriate for her scale, the second is at £24,000 where I can justify giving backers of the 10-4 pledges a little extra by way of a discount voucher to be applied in the pledge manager, this is good for the value of £4.00 which will get you a whole 32mm mini absolutely free or help towards the cost of the larger scale miniatures.

Thank you again for all your support to date, I'm really pleased with the projects progress, any questions as always I will try to answer quickly with as much information as I can give, my days are a little skewed due to being in lockdown but I will try to answer as quickly as possible, stay safe! Pete.

Add-on added... on, display plinths!
about 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 01, 2020 at 10:54:48 AM

Morning guys, thank you again for your continued support I am really pleased with everyones enthusiasm and how the campaign is going.

I have made available the plinth used for image rendering as a physical product for that extra bit of snazz for your finished pieces! 2 styles, first is standard flat top, second is engineered to house mangets so mini's can be removed from the plinth with ease whilst retaining a solid level of stability once replaced.

Added to campaign main page:

"Display Plinths

2 styles of plinth are available, simple flat top and double recess.  The double recess is designed to house a neodynium magnet for those who  wish to remove the miniature from the base whilst maintaining stability  when in place.

Specifications

20x40: Height 20mm, footprint 40mm, 25mm recess to accomodate standard gaming bases, 2mm secondary recess to house neodynium magnet.

30x60: Height 30mm, footprint 60mm, 50mm  recess to accomodate larger bases suitable for mounting 54mm and 75mm  miniatures, 4mm secondary recess to house neodynium magnet.

Both: The recessed plinths will come with a  single blank base with underside recess to house a neodynium magnet.  This allows you a fully engineered display solution with the freedom to  top the bases however you please. Colour will be standard grey resin  which can be painted in the same manor as your miniatures."

Take care and stay safe!

Updated FAQ / Add-ons / Stretch Goals
about 4 years ago – Wed, Apr 01, 2020 at 05:41:04 AM

Hello guys,

Big massive thank you to everyone who is supporting my campaign currently, I'm absolutely stoked by the support and great comments! I am hopeful the project will fund overnight as we are less than £1000 away (what a thing to wake up to that would be!)

I have now updated the FAQ to reflect some of the questions I have been asked since launching.

I have rendered out a couple of the miniatures in full 360' which will be compiled into videos tomorrow for you all with more to follow, I will also be adding my miniatures from the first campaign as add-ons as they are already production moulded, I will be ordering a small number from my caster at the end of the week so as to get a jump on production and cover anyone who may like to add these on, excess will be going into my webstore at a later date.

Later in the week I will also be adding some simple display plinths for the miniatures in all scales, there will be 2 types available of each style, the first is a simple flat top and the second a recessed top with a secondary recess to seat a neodynium magnet so as miniatures can be removed from the display as and when you please, the bases supplied with the miniatures will also be modified to seat a magnet making life that bit easier should you wish to use the supplied bases along with a plinth.

I have thought long and hard on stretch goals, I will exercise caution on this one so as to not over burden production and increase pressure on my workload too much, I know some of you are asking for new miniatures and have messaged me with some really REALLY great ideas which I will carry forward into a future project, I really love your enthusiasm for more but at this moment in time I am going to side with caution and avoid creating a potential situation by which I risk stretching myself too thin, I hope you understand and aren't too disappointed :< busts in a limited number are still a possibility as add-ons though I require more time to thoroughly cost and weigh up any impact this may have so stay tuned!

One of 2 stretch goals that I have in mind are reducing shipping and absorbing some of that cost myself for all pledge levels should the campaign continue strongly to a point where this is a financially viable option, this helps everyone out just a tiny bit, the second one I have in mind needs to be costed thoroughly which I will do tomorrow.

Thanks again guys, stay safe!

Pete.

MASSIVE thank you again for your support in all forms with this project :)

Kind regards, Pete

First day done, thank you for your support

Thank you!

Hello guys, wow what a first 24 hours absolutely astounded by the support thank you so much! Really great to see returning backers, big shout out to those guys who fueled Throne Down from the very start last year and who have made this project a possibility.

I'm really thrilled with all the positive comments, this is what drives me to create so massive thanks for those comments folks!

This is a really solid start, I was holding off on things like stretch goals to see how the initial funding would pan out, I'm really hyped so I've been scribbling down some ideas and will start formulating some secondary goals for the project should it continue to fund strongly.

What's on the menu for this week;

360 renders; I'll be dropping some videos so you can get a look at some of the mini's all the way round.

Stretch goal planning; I'm already scribbling ideas and will start to rough out some new designs toward the end of the week, if you have suggestions please go ahead I'm all ears, big long elf ears!

Advertisment; I'm looking at avenues to advertise, this is my ultra weak point, marketing isn't my thing, I don't get it, it bores me. A few of you have posted the project on a couple of forums so thanks for taking the time to share that with others, I have a facebook page here facebook.com/thronedowngames with a pinned advert if anybody is willing to share this to any groups that you are members of then that will come with eternal gratitude!

One final note, with the state of the world currently I wish everyone to stay safe and healthy during these difficult times, be excellent to each other.

Regards, Pete.
